Association of State Wetland Managers (ASWM)
SWS and ASWM agree to collaborate to promote the knowledgeable management, conservation, and research of wetlands.
Consortium of Aquatic Science Societies (CASS)
SWS agrees to promote international aquatic ecosystem scientific study, education, and outreach via the creation of a Consortium of Aquatic Scientific Societies (CASS), first established in 2010, with intent to expand cooperation and action with the American Fisheries Society (AFS), the Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO), the Coastal and Estuarine Research Federation (CERF), the Freshwater Mollusk Conservation Society (FMCS), the International Association for Great Lakes Research (IAGLR), the North American Lake Management Society (NALMS), the Phycological Society of America (PSA) and the Society for Freshwater Science (SFS).
SWS and Ramsar recognize the fundamental role played by wetlands in regulating and providing water, in supporting maintenance of cultural and biological diversity, in ensuring high ecosystem productivity, in providing ecosystem services and benefits for people and the planet, and will continue to develop a collaborative program for sustainable wetland and water resource conservation and management.
Society of Ecological Restoration (SER)
SWS and SER partner to achieve cooperation for science-based conservation, management, education, research and policy pertaining to wetland restoration.
Society of Wetland Scientists Professional Certification Program (SWS PCP)
The mission of SWS PCP is to certify wetland professionals who meet the highest standards for education, experience, and ethics in the practice of wetland science, with a vision to be the globally recognized authority on certification of those wetland professionals in protecting and managing wetland resources and elevating the profession of wetland science.
South Africian Wetland Society (SAWS)
SAWS is an Affliated Society of SWS in order to encourage and enable interactions and joint events between the two Societies and their members.
Taijiang National Park (TNP)
SWS and the Taijiang National Park agree to promote Taiwan wetland ecosystem scientific study, restoration, education, and outreach via cooperation and action.
Taiwan Construction and Planning Agency (CPA)
SWS and the Taiwan CPA agree to promote the sustainability of Taiwanese wetlands through training, cooperative, international conferences and workshops, and interdisciplinary exchanges of scientists and managers.
