The South Central Chapter (SCC) of SWS held their Fall 2009 chapter meeting at the University of North Texas (UNT) in Denton, TX on October 22-24, 2009. The meeting was held in the Environmental Education Science and Technology (EESAT) building, which houses the UNT Institute of Applied Sciences, the Department of Geography, the Sky Theater, and other programs focused on the environment. |

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
The South Central Chapter of the Society of Wetland Scientists plans to hold their 2010 annual meeting from October 21-23, 2010, in Oxford, MS. The overall working theme for the meeting is “Wetlands in a landscape context,” and staff at The University of Mississippi Field Station have offered to host the workshops, invited lectures, and student presentations. The owners of Parrish’s [just off the historic Oxford Square] are willing to host our Friday evening social gathering.
Additional information on field trips, workshops, and hotels will be provided soon.
