Student Representative to the SWS Board of Directors

The Nominations Committee of the SWS is entertaining nominations for the Student Representative to the Board of Directors. The requirements of this position include:

  1. To be a student in good standing;
  2. To have been an SWS member for at least one year; and
  3. To have attended the most recent SWS annual meeting (Seattle, WA).

A one-page biographical statement must be submitted to the Executive Board by or on behalf of the nominee or volunteer. Please send any nominations ASAP to Mark Felton. The Board is hoping to fill the position by the end of April 2005.

The Executive Board shall appoint a student representative to serve on the Society's Board for as long as the representative remains a student or no more than three years.

By our own bylaws, a student is defined as:
Person involved in full-time academic training toward any appropriate wetland endeavor.
