King County Wetland Mitigation Banking Program - Status and History
17) Abstract Text:
King County began work on a Wetland Mitigation Banking Program in 1994. This presentation will provide an overview and status of the County program, including costs to date. It will focus on King County's experience in trying to implement a banking program, including the importance of early coordination will all agencies and interested parties. Additional information will be provided on the strengths and limitations of wetland mitigation banking by comparing and contrasting King County's program to other regional banking efforts (West Eugene, Paine Field, Pierce County, WSDOT). The presentation will also address how the County program may be affected by state legislative efforts in 1998.
