This is the home page of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Society of Wetland Scientists. We serve the geographical area that contains Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia.
SWS Mid Atlantic Chapter Conference 2012
The SWS Mid-Atlantic chapter is hosting a biannual conference on December 7, 2012 to present on wetland issues in the Mid-Atlantic Region, with special presentation sessions honoring the late Dr. Joan Ehrenfeld. Following a full round of presentation sessions beginning at 8AM at nearby Rutgers University, there will be guided field trips to local wetland mitigation sites. Upcoming Mid Atlantic Chapter Election
We are seeking nominations for the position of President Elect for the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of SWS. We are looking for an energetic and creative individual to become part of the Executive Board of the chapter and be an integral member of a team that provides leadership for Chapter members and provides opportunities to advance the knowledge in wetland science of members. The President Elect position is a 2-year term, followed by automatically serving in the position of President and then Past President which are also 2-year terms. This is a great opportunity to work with other SWS members in the Mid-Atlantic Region and interact with the International SWS.Please forward all nominations of members in good standing, or self nominations, to Sharon Yates, Past President at syates@admarble.com by April 27th . Elections will be held by email balloting before the International SWS meeting in Orlando, FL in June.
