Some first-cut observations:

• clearly, SWS membership does not fully represent wetland specialists in Canada - this must be more than 92 of us
• Ontario is, not surprisingly, home to the largest number of SWS members
• on a per-capita basis, however, Manitoba is top SWS participant
• Atlantic provinces are under-represented
• Quebec is under-represented, relative to its large population
• BC has a lot of SWS members relative to amount of wetland area in the province
• the absence of SWS members in the wetland-rich north
