IMPORTANT NOTE: See update below
I am developing an INSTRUCTOR'S GUIDE for a 3rd-year undergrad. university-transfer course for the province of B.C. The course title is "An introduction to wetlands and wetland restoration". My understanding is that because the course development is being funded by the B.C. Min. Education, the course will be "publicware"; that is, anyone in the province (or probably out of province) can use it once it's done, for free. It is in modules, or units, which can also be mixed and matched. The final product will be the instructor's guide to lectures and an instructor's guide to laboratories. Included will also be a list of resources, e.g. internet sites, videos, journals, societies, and bibliography. Emphasis is on B.C. in particular, then Canada (e.g. federal wetlands policy, the work of the NAWCC (Canada), etc.).
The course is close to being finished, but I would really appreciate obtaining more examples of B.C. FRESHWATER wetlands that have been either restored or created, whether for wildlife, water quality or water quantity functions. I have many examples involving estuarine and salt marsh wetlands from the Fraser River (brackish, as they are in the lower Fraser and are hence also estuarine), and the Campbell and Englishman Rivers. However, except for the constructed wetlands involving the Bell mine (e.g. Sobolewski et al. 1995), I lack information on more freshwater examples. If anyone could help I would be very grateful. Please include a reference with your example so that I can read the details and add the reference to the bibliography.

UPDATE!
Abby tells us that her course on An Introduction to Wetlands and Wetland Restoration is now finished. The prerequisite for the course is introductory ecology, which makes this a 2nd- or 3rd-year university-level 3-credit course. It's predicated on 4 hours per week of lecture plus a 2- or 3-hour lab each week (labs go for 6 weeks; the rest of the term is for term projects which involve field and desk work). The course is modular, so that it can be used in parts or as a whole. It's good for professionals in the environmental fields who wish to learn about wetlands, as well as for students in third-year.
