Shanin Speas-Frost, P.E., MBA
Shanin Speas-Frost is a professional engineer working for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) in Tallahassee, Florida in the Office of Wastewater Management. One of her main roles for the last 9 years at FDEP is coordinating wastewater wetlands application activities in the state. She gained much of her previous wetlands experience working for a local consultant doing wetlands delineation and reclamation.
Shanin graduated with a bachelor of science degree in environmental engineering from the University of Florida in 1995 and then in 2001 achieved her master of business administration from the Florida State University. Shanin got into web and graphics design back in 1997 and has taken online courses in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, PaintShop Pro, and Macromedia Flash. Along with the South Atlantic website, shanin enjoys maintaining several other websites, including her section's intranet site, a personal page, a poetry and prose site and, most recently, the annual wetlands meeting in Charleston, SC.
