Extra Information:
The Certificate Program in Wetland Science & Management was designed by the University of Washington Extension and an advisory board to meet the needs of scientists, engineers, managers, and other professionals wishing to expand their knowledge of wetlands ecology.
Courses in the program are taught by University of Washington faculty and by Wetlands professionals working in the public and private sectors.
Students attend evening classes and some weekend field trips. Each student chooses a wetland site at which to conduct a year long practicum project which complements the course work and provides the students with practical experience in wetlands research and assessment.
