S. students are accepted into either a research thesis program or a professional non-thesis program especially designed for individuals wishing to enter the wetland profession in management, advocacy, policy, consulting, etc. where research is not the main activity. Students may take courses at near-by (free bus service)Amherst, Hampshire, Mount Holyoke, and Smith Colleges and have faculty members at those private colleges serve on graduate thesis committees.
