2007 SWS International Conference Banquet - Celebrating California
Come join us June 11th for an evening celebrating California at the beautiful
California Museum. The festivities start by strolling along the halls of
the museum where you can sip a beverage, enjoy hors d'oeuvres, visit with
friends and soak up some California history too. Later, we'll gather in
the museum's courtyard for a dinner that will include many California specialties.
Enjoy music and a fantastic summer evening within walking distance of the
convention center hotel.
Award-winning author and photographer Tim Palmer will present a slide show based on his recent book, California Wild. With stunning images of landscapes, rivers, seashores, and wetlands, he will show us the nature of California and will talk about the future and the fate of this extraordinary state. "California Wild" won the Benjamin Franklin award as the finest American book on nature and the environment. Biographical Sketch
