| SWS 2002 ANNUAL MEETING - Activities for Children |

On Monday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings (8:30 am until 12:00 pm), the children's activites will be led by Chrissy Albanese, an educator from Environmental Concern and Gary Hahn also known as "Swampy."

Morning activities will focus on soils and will be led by Chrissy Albanese, an educator from Environmental Concern and Gary Hahn also known as "Swampy." . Monday afternoon (1:30 - 3:30) will be led by Sandra Bureau from Nature on the Move. Sandra's activities will focus on nature in the local area. At 5:00 pm on Monday, children are invited to attend the Natural History of the Adirondacks Symposium, when Bill Smith, a local storyteller, will entertain us all with his tales. |

Morning activities, again led by EC and Swampy, will focus on water. Tuesday afternoon (1:30 - 4:00) will be led by Albert McCullough from EC. Albert will talk about wetland functions, or why wetlands do what they do. If possible, the group may move outdoors around the hotel. On Tuesday evening, the whole family is invited to attend the BBQ. Bill Smith will be back to tell more stories from 7 - 8 pm. Around 8:30, the band will strike up and dancing and laughter will be encouraged. |

We have provided information and maps of local hiking trails for self-guided tours. In addition, the Adirondack Park Agency's Visitors Interpretative Center and the Paul Smith's College Visitors Interpretative Center will have knowledgeable staff located on site to answer any questions you may have. |

Morning activities, once again led by EC and Swampy, will focus on plants. Thursday afternoon activities (1:30 - 4) will be led by Terry Doss and Jane Rowan. If weather and black flies allow, we will be taking the program outside. |
All children's events will occur in the Library, located right off the main
lobby in the hotel.
If you are interested in helping out with the children's program, VOLUNTEERS ARE ALWAYS NEEDED! If your children will be participating, think about helping out with one of the sessions.
