Thematic Symposium
S1. Important Wetland Ecosystems
of the Southeastern USA
Following the plenary talk there was a
special thematic symposium focusing on three of the most important
wetland ecosystems of the Southeast: bottomland hardwood forests and
temperate and subtropical intertidal swamps. Overviews of these
wetland ecosystems were presented as an introduction to the
region and a welcome to the conference. The speakers and
