Washington State Senate Bill 5698 for Regulating soil and wetland science professions
The Washington
State Legislature intends to regulate soil science and wetland
science as professions by establishing minimum standards of ethical
conduct and professional responsibility and by establishing professional education and experience requirements for those
persons representing to the public that they are soil scientists or
wetland scientists certified by the state.

Field Indicators of Hydric Soil Workshops

A one day in-class workshop on hydric soil indicators and a one day class/field exercise in applying hydric soil indicators.
Registration deadline - June 1, 2009
This class is geared as a refresher course for those with some amount of wetland delineation experience, but provides a basic introduction to using and interpreting hydric soil indicators. A field day has been scheduled on the second day of the workshop to provide hands-on experience applying the field indicators. The field exercise will be held at Pioneer Park along the Deschutes River in Tumwater, WA—BE PREPARED TO GET DIRTY!
