Delaware Wetlands Conference - Wilmington, Delaware

Advancing wetland science and conservation in the Mid-Atlantic
Chase Center on the Riverfront, Wilmington, Delaware

You're invited to present at the 2018 Delaware Wetlands Conference on January 31 & February 1, 2018, in Wilmington, Delaware. This conference offers two days of exploration into the latest wetland research and innovations to outreach and conservation programs in the Mid-Atlantic region.

  • Coastal Preparedness & Risk Reduction
  • Climate Change
  • Education and Outreach
  • Ecology and Wildlife Biology
  • Mapping, GIS and Modeling

Presentation Format
Each presentation is 20 minutes long and includes five minutes for questions or a 5 minute quick talk. Posters will remain up through the entire conference with time set aside for networking and discussion. *New for this year is a student poster competition which will have an award for the overall best poster and the runner-up poster. Present at the 2018 Delaware Wetlands Conference and receive admission at a reduced rate. Once your abstract is approved, you will be able to register at the presenter rate of $55 for the two day conference and $45 for one day. Learn more. MAC/NYSWF Joint 2017 Meeting - Suffern, New York

The Mid-Atlantic Chapter and the New York State Wetlands Forum, Inc. (NYSWF) held a joint meeting on April 25 - 26, 2017, in Suffern, New York, at the Crowne Plaza Suffern-Mahwah. Attendees joined to learn, share, improve and discuss wetland science, management, research, policy and related matters. Learn more about the full agenda here

Field Trip - Great Swamp, New Jersey 

The Mid-Atlantic Chapter hosted an educational and fun field trip at the Great Swamp, located in north central New Jersey on May 21, 2016. The event began at the Somerset County Environmental Education Center, with sessions on wetland vegetation (specifically identification of grasses, sedges, and rushes), wetland hydrology and activites of the Great Swamp Watershed Association. Field trip activities then moved to the field to see some of the special places within the 15-square mile Great Swamp. The event wrapped up with a social and early dinner at Casa Maya.

SWS 2015 Annual Meeting

The SWS 2015 Annual Meeting was held in Providence, Rhode Island on May 31 - June 4. This great international meeting comprised of world leading wetland experts.
